A starting point: hospitality according to Donatella<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

After a few years away from Matera, I felt the urge to return to my hometown and create a place that reflected my way of welcoming people. Octantis was born from this return: from the experience I’ve gained in the hospitality industry and from a deep connection with Matera, a city I know well and that continues to surprise me every day. <\/p>

I imagined an elegant, intimate, and contemporary space, where a stay isn’t just a well-appointed room, but a more personal experience. A place from which to explore the city, receive honest advice, and navigate itineraries, restaurants, visits, and experiences. <\/p>

The name Octantis evokes the star and the ancient instrument used by travelers to find their way. It’s an image I feel close to: because for me, welcoming also means helping those who arrive feel immediately at home.
